  A public apology...

In 2000, I released a collection of demos, bundled with the previously released "The Beautiful Ep", creating a new release entitled "Peppermint Daisy Music".

Almost 9 years later... I have the courage to say... I'm sorry.

The collection was a mistake! The production quality was far too low to be a commercial release. The songs were in a development stage and I don't know if you've noticed, but they have had no life beyond this album. Factory seconds if you will.

So why was it released?

Ok, being brutally honest, I needed some income.

The post Guardian years were extremely lean. In fact, it wasn't until mid 2005 that I finally got some stability back. I likely could have made more working at Taco Bell full time than I did chasing music during that period. Don't get me wrong, I had some great moments along the way, but certainly not enough to sustain a family. In hindsite, I was selfish. But I always had Heather's support. Even when I truly didn't deserve it. She's a remarkable, forgiving and encouraging woman.

Ok, back on track...Peppermint Daisy. I have gotten e-mails over the years from people who say they enjoyed the rawness of that disc, but I still regard it as bottom of the barrel commercial product. It served it's purpose, I got paid. But I sacrificed my integrity for a check.

Never again!

I promise.

God gave me a gift. If I can't honor Him through excellence with that gift. I need to re-evaluate.

PS- If you really must have this collection, I have noticed that it's on about every torrent site out there. Don't waste your cash on all those ebay items with my name on it. I don't receive a penny from them and the quality is low. Stick to the Guardian, London Calling, Adriangale and Crunch releases. Songs For Heaven & Earth/Dios De Amor was also a low budget recording, but I still stand behind that work.

Hello Jamie!
I was surfing around the net,and I found your blog on the web,and decide it to come in to see what was about. And the reason i'm writing this message is just to let you know how proud i am of you,for heaving the guts to be truly honest about this issue! God Bless you and keep it Real, buddy! Merry Christmas BTW:)

Hey don't be so rude with yourself, I liked that CD, not as the way I loved Guardian's and London calling's music, but I liked it in deed. some songs like where do you go, all of me, do you know, let it go and Amy are very good. if you had the change to remaster them, do it. talking about let it go. have you ever thought with the other guys to record the "Guardian - Dime" in English Version... you know like "Tell me" I think before you sang them in Spanish, you should have written the songs in English, don't you?
