Hillsong United

What an amazing night on Tuesday.
As I type this, I'm not feeling well..Christian is home from school too. If there is something going around I usually say "I choose not to participate" but maybe this time it has snuck up on me.
Anyway..back to Hillsong United....
For the past year, I have heard from every thriving ministry a common theme:
God is doing something new and fresh.
I personally think the signs are obvious. Hearing Michael Coleman speak in April, he felt God speaking that very same thing to him with the direct message of "I want to use you...but you have old wine skins" motivating him to shake off his comfort level and seek out where God wants him to go.
I hope that I will choose Christ over comfort.
I hope that I will seek where God is leading and not be stagnant- celebrating/dwelling on the past.
I hope to see a church that embraces those who "don't have it together" and walks with them in their journey of growing closer to God.
I hope the church shakes off the "museum for the saved" tag and becomes the "hospital for sinners" as Christ would want it to be.
One more for me:
I hope that I can love others as Christ loves me.
I certainly don't have it together...But as Brennan Manning puts it, I'll continue to walk with a "victorious limp".
Just like the bumper sticker says: Religion Kills.
On the other side of that is the truth: Jesus Saves!
True peace-
